THE CREATION LETTER

The Biblical Creationist response to atheist Dr Michael Zimmerman’s pro-evolution Clergy Letter Project

If I told you earthly things, and you believe not, how shall you believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?” –John 3:12

The pro-evolution Clergy Letter Project currently has a list of over 13,000 ministers who affirm that evolution is true and that the Genesis record is a teaching myth like Aesop’s Fables. Since 2006, they have successfully promoted the celebration of an Evolution Sunday in churches throughout the world. The Clergy Letter Project is often cast in the faces of Creationists to insinuate that we are merely a fringe element of Christianity, because there has not yet been an answer to their challenge. Our silence is used as an admission of our alleged irrelevance.

It is disgusting that this modern-day Goliath gets to mock the people of God, flaunting the compromise of some of our ministers as if it represented the majority opinion, with no answer in kind.

The Creation Letter Project now provides an opportunity for Christians, clergy and churches who affirm Biblical Creationism to answer the challenge that the Clergy Letter represents. Please read the Letter [below] and prayerfully add your signature if you agree with it:

“Observable, testable, repeatable science has brought us many benefits and innovations. The founders of modern science were Creationists, “thinking God’s thoughts after Him.” Most of the disciplines within science were founded before Darwin or by scientists who actually rejected his theory. The Scientific Method itself is based on the idea that an orderly creation can be rationally understood because it was designed by an Intelligent Creator. Creationists today continue to practice normal, experimental science without need of evolution.

Evolution is not observable, testable, repeatable science. It’s a belief about the past, an atheist Just-So Story seeking to displace the divinely revealed Creation record. It’s based on the flaw of naturalism, which begs that all problems must have a natural explanation, so God isn’t needed. This stands directly at odds with the Biblical claim that God’s existence, eternal power and Godhead are self-evident in His Creation, for it excludes an Intelligent Creator from all consideration. Faulty assumptions lead to faulty conclusions! Sadly, statistics demonstrate that children taught godless evolution as scientific truth reject religious truth wholesale! It’s time to judge this tree by its fruit!

The Bible stands as the inerrant, revealed Word of God. As such, the conclusions and speculations of fallible, finite men should be weighed in light of the revelation of an infallible, infinite God – not the other way ’round. Let God be true and every man a liar!

Some claim to take the Bible seriously but actually hold man’s word as their true authority, so long as it calls itself science; where it disputes the Genesis record, they denigrate the Word of God to mere Bible stories in the tradition of Aesop’s fables. After swallowing the camel of the Resurrection and supernatural miracles, they strain at the gnat of a historical Creation week.

We do not follow cleverly devised fables. While the Bible is NOT a science textbook, the Word of God is true and accurate in all it records. Jesus affirmed the truth and authority of God’s Word, mentioning Creation, Adam and Eve, Abel, Noah and Jonah as matters of fact. Though some object that religious truth is of a different order from scientific truth, Jesus refuted this false dichotomy when He asked Nicodemus, “If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?” [John 3:12] The very reason Jesus literally died and rose again is a world cursed by the literal Fall of a literal Adam!

We the undersigned affirm the truth of a Biblical, literal 6-day Creation and strongly discourage any Bible-believing Christian from endorsing or celebrating an Evolution Sunday. Evolution is a lie which undermines both Biblical authority and the foundational basis of the Gospel. We urge churches to send a clear message  of the enduring authority of God’s Word by celebrating a Creation Sunday instead of the Clergy Letter Project’s proposed Evolution Sunday. We urge school board members to fight for the integrity of our science curriculum by insisting that evolution’s mortal flaws be published. We ask that science remain science, so that truth may remain truth.”

I am a “priest” in (sur)name only so I do not qualify as clergy. Nevertheless, I encourage pastors to get some backbone (you don’t have to evolve it) and not only sign the letter, but also dedicate at least one church service to proclaiming evolution as a LIE.

We stand united and strong in our support and defence of God’s clear eye-witness record of creation as recorded in Genesis. Every day is “Creation Day” in our church life and each one in our congregation. To God be the glory. Evolution seeks to rob God of His very own Self-defining glory. He is the Creator Who created everything that was made.

I certainly believe the first few chapters of Genesis as fact. I believe that the Great and Almighty God made man in his image, and further that no species has ever evolved into another. Development within species, yes, evolution to another, no! The entire Bible is the word of God; we pastors need to stand firm on the faith once delivered the saints.

When Christians call this a side issue, they are undermining what God has stated in Genesis 1-11. The evidence is the same. We either view the evidence with creation glasses or evolution glasses. It’s a faith issue either way– evolution or creation!

One cannot pick and choose what to believe in God’s Word. Genesis is the foundation of the entire Bible. What one believes about God’s Creation colors one’s world-view as well.

To those willing to see, the whole world teams with evidence of God’s loving handiwork. This quote from atheist evolutionist Aldous Huxley in “Confession of a Professed Atheist,” says it all.

“I had motives for not wanting the world to have meaning; consequently assumed it had none, and was able without any difficulty to find satisfying reasons for this assumption . . . For myself, as no doubt for most of my contemporaries, the philosophy of meaninglessness was essentially an instrument of liberation. The liberation we desired was simultaneously liberation from a certain political and economic system and liberation from a certain system of morality. We objected to the morality because it interfered with our sexual freedom.” (from evidenceofdesign.com)

“Creationists believe that God originally created many different “kinds” that do not necessarily correspond to species. From each of these kinds, God built in a mechanism to provide an infinite amount of variety so that each individual member of His creation has features that are uniquely beautiful. It is this mechanism to produce variety that is confused as evolution, but is extrapolated as megaevolution. The Rocks to People evolution does not work. But scientific evidence verifies the creation model as described above, and it is perfectly reasonable to hold to such beliefs. The straightforward account of the Bible in Genesis does not contradict any known scientific evidence if it is understood correctly. Evolutionists invent scenarios where they believe that parts of God’s creation is “poorly designed.” In all cases, these scenarios reflect only a poor misunderstanding of God’s original creative intent and a balance of optimization of characteristics. The idea of abiogenesis, or the evolution of life from non-life, fails every test of scientific credibility, and the odds against it happening is essentially zero.”

  48. February 24, 2009 3:57 pm

    Paul Ellwanger

“I’m no “minister”, but I can read the Word of God. Christ did not view Genesis One as myth but as the Word of God in its literal-historical sense. So those who suggest that God uses the parable form without telling us clearly that He is doing that are destined for an eternity in Hell, since such presumption on the part of His creatures is blasphemy.

It has been suggested, over & over, that because evolution is anti-science — actually a fairtale for adults — it should be litigated out of science classes in K-12 public schools. Indeed, our young and impressionistic students are not told evolutionism is a fairtale and the very basis of all atheist religions. They are lied to & told macro-evolution is a FACT. Since they are a captive audience, they are victims of academic totalitarianism.

More power to your anti-evolutionism ministry . May God hasten the day when this academic fraud can be teken before a jury with the kind of scientific facts evolutionists are today unwilling to face in the public forum of campus debates. AMEN.”

I am both a creation speaker and a minister, and have seen much evidence that preachers need to wake up about the issue of creation vs. evolution! Not only should they set aside a special Creation Sunday every year (or every week for evangelists), each pastor must realize that the Biblical authority upon which they stand every service is negatively affected by the teaching of evolution in our society. It isn’t the Word of God is hindered in its power, but that evolution erodes the trust that others might place in it. In addition, creationism is not only “anti-evolution,” but also the foundation for every other issue of life…from marriage to music. In short, every aspect of our existence must be viewed with “Biblical glasses” that begins with God as the Authority over all (as Creator). “It is He that hath made us and not we ourselves.” (Psalm 100:3)
“Using creation to turn hearts to the Creator.”

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding” Proverbs 9:10

Without the fear of the LORD, man cannot be wise and can only form opinions or theories which includes evolutionary theories which have been disproven time after time.

“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away” Luke 21:33

Man can make as many theories as he wants, but it is God’s Holy Word that will always stand true.

Our church is currently holding a 7 week “Creation – Science & The Bible” seminar for our Sunday Evening services… China Lake Baptist Church is pleased to announce a seven-week series of lectures on the topic: Science, Creation, and the Bible. The instructor will be Dr. Curtis Wilcott. The lectures will be at 6pm Sunday evenings starting on March 8, 2009.

Dr. Wilcott works as a software engineer at NAWCWD. He holds advanced degrees in physics and systems ecology. Regarding his suitability for teaching this class he says, “God has given me the privilege of being on both sides of this issue. Before I was saved at age 42 I was a confirmed evolutionist. After I was saved I studied the scientific evidence that supports the Biblical account of creation. I am now a confirmed young-Earth creationist. I understand how people on both sides think.”

The major topics covered in the class are:

Methods, Objectives, and Limitations of Science
    Big Bang
Velocity of light and stellar Red Shift
    The Solar System
Ice Ages, Cave Men, and Dinosaurs
    Radioactive dating
1980 eruption of Mount St Helens
History of the Evolution/Creation debates (19th century and 20th century)
28 evidences that the Earth is young and that evolution is false
    Progressive Creation
    Intelligent Design

The class will also discuss the “time line” of the history of the Earth and man’s activities on it as described in the Bible.

The Evolution/Creation debate is often characterized by each side trying to “prove” their case. However, for the issue of origin of all things (a one-time event in the past), there are no proofs. There is only evidence, as in a court case trying to establish what happened in the past. There is much evidence that supports the Creation model of origins.

The most telling scientific evidence that evolution is false is the Second Law of Thermodynamics, also known as the ‘entropy’ law. Evolution states that complex things (living cells for example) were spontaneously built up from simpler things. The Second Law states that left to themselves, complex things decay into simpler things, not the other way around.

If the evolutionary process of going from the Big Bang to life on the Earth today is true, then the hardest step for the evolutionists to explain is the jump from non-life to the first living cell. After the discovery of the complexity of DNA molecules in the 1950’s, secular mathematicians published a book in 1968 that shows that the probability of life arising from non-life by random chance is vanishingly small.

Another major difficulty with the theory of evolution is the lack of evidence in the fossil record for biological evolution. In his 1859 book “On the Origin of Species”,

Darwin admitted that there was a surprising lack of individual fossils that had features that were characteristic of two different species. He felt that more geology field work was required to find such examples. After 150 years of further field work, the desired fossil examples of these “innumerable intermediate species” are still lacking.

I’ve always been frustrated by the scientific view that our children we’re taught in school. As a believer in Creationism I was encourage to come across a great resource from Faith Search, a book called “Surprised by Faith” by Don Bierle. He is a scientist who was a former atheist that tried to disprove the existence of God. In so doing he instead uncovered scientific evidence proving God, Jesus as the Savior, and many other fascinating facts.

I came to an understanding of Creationism and its significance several years ago under the leadership of the radio ministry of D. James Kennedy, Coral Ridge Ministry. I was a theistic evolutionist. I began studying to counter what I believed was the misguided ranting of ignorant anti-science fundamentalists. My own study has convinced me that anyone who still believes evolution to be true has never really examined evolution or considered the possibility that the Bible might be true.

Find another series of books by 40 authors over 1,500 years all on the same Triune God History of The Seven Cs of Christianity and show it to the world. Ken Ham is the spearhead of a unifying ministry that is almost alone in combatting the Satanic forces of evolution and atheism that undergird the Recreation of The Tower of Babel Philosophy of The New World Order.. I pray daily that AIG’s influence grows rapidly worldwide in reestablishing the Truths of Genesis and The Bible for the benefit of Christ’s Kingdom on earth and in Eternity..

God spoke many times that He will not give His glory to another. How long His people have sat back and watched it handed to a chaotic intenty (any doubts as to whom?). What an encouragement to see so many ministers of God’s word wanting to take it back. The earth will be filled with the “knowledge” of His glory (Hab). Our outdoor teaching programs about creation on the rivers in camps and retreats are fully in support of filling more of the world with the “knowledge” of His glory.

I was an engineer for almost 10 years prior to coming to Living Waters Bible Camp 20 years ago. For the next 5 years a study of God’s Word, reviewing good science and listening to guys like Ken Ham helped me to realize it could only be a literal 6 day creation done by the Word of God. I am thankful for His love for all mankind, even knowing we would sin, he still went ahead with Creation. He knew before he started it would later cost the blood of His own Son so that we might be redeemed. Thank God for His love and mercy!

Jesus warned that a tree is to be evaluated by the fruit it bears, and that the truth will set us free. I look forward to the day that we will all celebrate freedom from the deadly hold that Darwin’s beguiling mistake continues to have on the public’s imagination, on the teachings in our schools, and most of all – in the doctrines of our churches. That day is coming.

Yes – evolution is the great delusion of our time, and as one scientist put it – “the greatest engine of atheism ever invented.” But rest assured that true evolution has never, and will never occur. The electron microscope has revealed to our inspection the mind-boggling world of genetics and DNA. The accumulated evidence against accidental creation of the exquisite intelligence represented therein is massive, devastating, and absolute. The persistence of the evolution myth depends now entirely on the near fanatical willingness of many to hold and defend it. Why? Because they truly love it.

We were utterly beguiled by the elegant beauty and power that the theory of evolution seemed to offer for explaining and understanding life. “Beguiled” is precisely the right term, for the great evolution delusion is not just an innocent mistake of science. It is indeed mass delusion amounting to religion. It not only fosters mass atheism, but it has formed the philosophical underpinnings of evil philosophies communism, Nazism, and humanism. Hitler was a fanatic Darwinist and used evolution to justify his racial hatreds including especially against the Jews – the very signature of Satan throughout history.

Although soundly refuted, the truth can’t get into the class room because, through the courts, we have backed our way into redefining science as to exclude God by legal fiat! The quality of creation science is never the issue. In every case, there sits the ACLU saying that we’re just trying to get God back into the schools, and the judge agrees. The creator is legally barred from the class room regarding any discussion of creation. Lucifer must have an IQ in the trillions for he indeed “decieveth the whole world.”

But we will prevail. Consider these scathing quotes and note the impressive qualifications of the speakers.

“Today, our duty is to destroy the myth of evolution, considered as a simple, understood, and explained phenomenon which keeps rapidly unfolding before us. Biologists must be encouraged to think about the weaknesses of the interpretations and extrapolations that theoreticians put forward or lay down as established truths. The deceit is sometimes unconscious, but not always, since some people, owing to their sectarianism, purposely overlook reality and refuse to acknowledge the inadequacies and the falsity of their beliefs.” Grasse, Pierre-P. [editor of the 28-volume “Traite de Zoologie”, former Chair of Evolution, Sorbonne University and ex-president of the French Academie des Sciences], “Evolution of Living Organisms: Evidence for a New Theory of Transformation”, Academic Press: New York NY, 1977, p.8.

“Every single concept advanced by the theory of evolution (and amended thereafter) is imaginary as it is not supported by the scientifically established probability concepts. Darwin was wrong… The theory of evolution may be the worst mistake made in science.” I.L.Cohen, Member of the New York Academy of Sciences and Officer of the Archaeological Institute of America.

“We have no acceptable theory of evolution at the present time. There is none; and I cannot accept the theory that I teach to my students each year. Let me explain. I teach the synthetic theory known as the neo-Darwinian one, for one reason only; not because it’s good, we know it is bad, but because there isn’t any other.” Professor Jerome Lejeune: From a French recording of internationally recognized geneticist, Professor Jerome Lejeune, at a lecture given in Paris on March 17, 1985. Translated by Peter Wilders of Monaco.

“Scientists who go about teaching that evolution is a fact of life are great con-men, and the story they are telling may be the greatest hoax ever. In explaining evolution, we do not have one iota of fact.” — Dr. T. N. Tahmisian, U.S. Atomic Energy Commission.

“I think we need to go further than this and admit that the only acceptable explanation is creation. I know this is an anathema to physicists, as indeed it is to me, but we must not reject a theory that we do not like if the experimental evidence supports it.” H. S. Lipson; Prof of Physics, University of Manchester, A paper published by The Institute of Physics, IOP Publishing Ltd., 1980

“We are told dogmatically that Evolution is an established fact; but we are never told who has established it, and by what means. We are told, often enough, that the doctrine is founded upon evidence, and that indeed this evidence is henceforward above all verification, as well as being immune from any subsequent contradiction by experience; but we are left entirely in the dark on the crucial question wherein, precisely, this evidence consists.” Smith, Wolfgang (1988) Teilhardism and the New Religion: A Thorough Analysis of The Teachings of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, Rockford, Illinois: Tan Books & Publishers Inc., p.2

“I do not want to believe in God. Therefore I choose to believe in that which I know is scientifically impossible, spontaneous generation leading to evolution.” George Wald (Nobel prize for Medicine in 1967). “Frontiers of Modern Biology on Theories of Origin of Life” (New York:Houghton Mifflin, 1972), p. 187.

“All these trees of life with their branches of our ancestors, that’s a lot of nonsense.” Archeologist and paleo-anthropologist Mary Leakey, interviewed three months before her death (Associated Press (AP) Dec. 10, 1996)

“Every paleontologist knows that most species don’t change. That’s bothersome….brings terrible distress. …They may get a little bigger or bumpier but they remain the same species and that’s not due to imperfection and gaps but stasis. And yet this remarkable stasis has generally been ignored as no data. If they don’t change, its not evolution so you don’t talk about it.” , STEPHEN J. GOULD (Noted evolutionist) Harvard, Lecture at Hobart & William Smith College, 14/2/1980

“And it has been the paleontologist, my own breed, who have been most responsible for letting ideas dominate reality: …. We paleontologists have said that the history of life supports that interpretation [gradual adaptive change], all the while knowing that it does not.”, NILES ELDREDGE, Columbia Univ., American Museum Of Natural History, TIME FRAMES, 1986, p.144

“With the failure of these many efforts [to explain the origin of life] science was left in the somewhat embarrassing position of having to postulate theories of living origins which it could not demonstrate. After having chided the theologian for his reliance on myth and miracle, science found itself in the unenviable position of having to create a mythology of its own: namely, the assumption that what, after long effort, could not be proved to take place today had, in truth, taken place in the primeval past.” Eiseley, Loren C., [late Professor of Anthropology, University of Pennsylvania], “The Immense Journey,” [1946], Vintage: New York NY, 1957, reprint, p.199.

Sir Fred Hoyle (Nobel Prize – Astrophysics) and Chandra Wickramasinghe (professor of applied mathematics and astronomy) admitted that they were ‘driven by logic’ to conclude that there must be a Creator. “It is quite a shock,” said Wickramasinghe. The Sri Lankan-born astronomer explained: “From my earliest training as a scientist I was very strongly brainwashed to believe that science cannot be consistent with any kind of deliberate creation. That notion has had to be very painfully shed. I am quite uncomfortable in the situation, the state of mind I now find myself in. But there is no logical way out of it. Once we see . . . that the probability of life, originating at random is so utterly minuscule as to make it absurd, it becomes sensible to think that the favorable properties of physics on which life depends are in every respect ‘deliberate,’ ” or created. Professor Wickramasinghe also said: “I now find myself driven to this position by logic. There is no other way in which we can understand the precise ordering of the chemicals of life except to invoke the creations on a cosmic scale. . . . We were hoping as scientists that there would be a way round our conclusion, but there isn’t.” (As quoted in “There Must Be A God,” Daily Express, Aug. 14, 1981 and “Hoyle On Evolution,” Nature, Nov. 12, 1981, 105.)

Romans 3:4b “…yea, let God be true, but every man a liar;” Genesis 1 and 2 are to be taken literally. This means that we also believe the Bible when It says: Acts 16:31 “And they said, Believe of the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” God creating in six days is as literal as when a person gets saved the moment they trust Christ as Savior!

” People that do not have an allegiance to truth rely on complicating everything in order to obliterate any clear understanding of truth…As someone once said…”The great thing about truth is it has no internal contradictions, it is self evident. Lies on the other hand are loaded with contradictions so people who use them must create convoluted complexities as well as misdirections and denials to frustrate anyone that looks too close. That is why most big lies endure for so long. It is incredibly difficult to untangle the mucked up web of lies and deceit. For my part I enjoy the simplicity of truth. Luckily there are many moments in life when there is the “right thing to do” and “right” is obvious to anyone who has an allegiance to truth.” Jesus said:- “I AM the truth, the way, and the life, no man comes to the Father but by me.” John 14:6 “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork” Ps. 19:1 …That which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it to them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Romans 1:19-20. This tells me God is claiming the exclusive right to say:-… . “I have placed sun, moon, stars, and much more out there so that you can see what I have made…this is MY handy work THAT I MADE IN JUST SIX DAYS…YOU CAN SEE IT and YOU HAVE NO EXCUSE…you are therefore guilty of denial of my handy work and creator of all things. You are also refusing my free gift of life everlasting in paradise. I promised you this as free gift…There is no need for any further delay… change and come back to the truth now, for you do not know just when I am returning. When I return it will be too late and you will have made the wrong choice and a foolish choice at that……. COME HOME…Signed Dad.”

It is time for Christians to be counted in the battle. Will you take God’s side or no? “Who is on the LORD’S side? let him come unto me.” Evolution is one of the most evil religions ever invented by Satan and in the last days Christians need to stand against the lies that are blinding the lost and aid those that oppose themselves by following this belief system.

    2 Timothy 2:25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

The insidious implications of an evolutionary mindset undermine the foundations of spirituality, social responsibility and morality – little wonder that our newspapers are filled with violence and crime.

I am a student at a University in my hometown, I am majoring in Forensics; I am also an artist and an amateur writer; hopefully a professional writer in the near future. Evolution is dangerous to us all christians who, with all our hearts believe in our Lord Jesus Christ and I for one will not allow this false unsound doctrine to continue it’s false teachings to our youth or anyone unfamiliar of evolution. I will teach to disclose all of it’s falsehoods and inconsistencies to as many youth as I can. For my indepth study of evolution by natural selection has paid me prolifically. If I studied evolution by natural selection, it was only by my own biasness and opposition against it. I encourage everyone who is well versed in this absurd theory brought together by a person, who had no academic education in any field of science, to educate all youth possible. We can defeat this problem if we all do our part to eliminate evolution from the world! GOD BLESS EVERY GOOD CHRISTAIN; BLESSED BE HE!!!

What havoc the unscriptural, unscientific, illogical and outdated ideas of Darwin have caused to the Church of Christ. The myth continues to grow and the propaganda is relentless on all sides because satan knows that his time is short. Yet it is also true that the Church continues to grow worldwide, as Christ said it would: “I will build my Church and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.” (Matt.16 v 18b). The plain interpretation and reality of the Genesis account is vital to embracing the power and inspiration of Scripture. Relegate the first 11 chapters of Genesis to myths and fables then Revelation comes next and finally the other 64 inspired of God books fall off the mantle of authority as they come into question, doubt leading to unbelief. This simply comes down to the creator elevating its wisdom over the creators wisdom. If they don’t believe the Genesis account of creation, why should they believe the gospels concerning Christ?

  171. January 26, 2010 7:11 pm

When you look at the clergy wittingly supporting evolution, you will find they, in the main, are not Bible believers. Satan understands that to undermine the Genesis account is to bring into question all the Great Doctrines of the Bible, the fundamental doctrines of Christianity, which are begun in the first twelve chapters of Genesis. The decline of American society can be correlated with the increasing belief in evolution and expulsion of the Bible and Christianity from the classroom.

Evolution requires a lot of assumptions that can’t be proven. Evolution requires that the word of God be interpreted in a way that changes it’s straight forward meaning.
Evolution requires that death come before sin and before God says it was all very good.
Evolution requires the world to tell me that I am unintelligent because I interpret the evidence differently.
Believing in a six day creation tells me that my God can do anything and that a world without him leads to a world where I am no better than a monkey.

Evolution should be spelt “Evil”-ution because of the way its acceptance has damaged Western Christendom and society in general. There was no death before the Fall! Belief in a six-day creation, literal fall, global flood and linguistic dispersion may not be essential for salvation, but it certainly is essential to make sense of the Bible, our faith as Christians and the world around us.

Evolution is probably the greatest and most long lived hoax ever perpetuated on mankind. All change in living being is limited to its kind with no interbreeding between it species. Evolution has never been observed in science because it has not nor can it happen. The Genesis account of creation is how God created the universe and all life.

Our ministry is on the front line fighting for the truth of God’s Word, which is certainly not limited to the foundational belief in the Book of Genesis and a literal six-day creation. The theory of evolution (changing of one kind into another kind), is simply not compatible with the God of the Bible. It makes God out to be a cruel and bungling creator since everything happens by random chance, death and natural selection. May Christians understand that true science is confirming the Word of God, while evolution is it’s own god, with Darwin as it’s prophet.

In the beginning God created everything from nothing in 6 literal 24 hour days, just like the Bible says! To elevate the views of man above the literal, historical account of God’s Word in Genesis 1 is to elevate man’s word above God’s Word. This didn’t work out too well for Satan, why would any person professing to be a Christian think it would work out any better for them?

May we remember with obligation our Creator (literal translation of Ecclesiastes 12:1) and hold fast that ALL Scripture, including Genesis 1, was God-breathed (2 Timothy 3:16)!

Among my five degrees, one is in science. Belief in Creation is not only mandatory in understanding and believing in the God of the Bible, but necessary for our salvation. If God created through evolution (death) and sin=death and death=sin, then there was sin before Adam, Jesus is a liar and we are still doomed. Thankfully, Jesus knew and proclaimed a literal Creation, a literal Adam and Eve, a literal Fall, and a literal death, resurection of Jesus the Christ. Christ is Risen!

More importantly, the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God and that means that every word has to be true. If you can’t believe God on just one item in the Bible, then how can you trust or believe Him anywhere else?

The birth, life, teachings, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ rest on Genesis 1-11 being true. If you undermine any one part of Genesis, you undermine everything about Jesus and Cross collapses and becomes nothing more than a myth.

God told us the truth. Jesus believed and quoted Genesis 1-11 as fact. To those who deny it Jesus specifically said, “If you believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote about me. But since you do not believe what he wrote, how are you going to believe what I say?” The God of the Scriptures says He Created things as he states in Genesis, Exodus and elsewhere throughout Scripture. If the god you worship did not create things as he states in Genesis, Exodus and elsewhere throughout Scripture, that is idolatry. Galatians 5:21 says “that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” and of the ‘things’ mentioned, idolatry is one.

John 3:12 I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things? If you don’t believe in the veracity of scripture, by what are you saved? Jesus refers to Genesis more than any other scripture. He is the Way the Truth and the Life. John 1:1-14 identifies Jesus as the very Word that evolution says is a myth. What did Jesus come for? John 18:37 “You are a king, then!” said Pilate. Jesus answered, “You are right in saying I am a king. In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.” And when Pilate then looked at Jesus and asked “What is truth?,” he was staring it right in its face!

The Christian men who laid the foundation of modern science firmly believed that there were natural explanations for all of the natural events — that is, the everyday, repeatable events — that we see in the world around us. However, at the same time, they firmly believed that non-repeatable, supernatural events (such as miracles) had supernatural explanations.
What has happened in the centuries since that time is that, as natural explanations came to be identified with science, atheists began to palm off their religion on unsuspecting students by disguising their atheist worldview as a natural explanation of the world around us. For example:

Since atheists deny the existence of a creator, their religion explains the existence of life by claiming that all life came from non-life. However, even though many people have been led to believe that that claim is science, the fact that it contradicts actual scientific research proves that it is religion, not science. Let me explain.
At one time it was believed that maggots spontaneously generate in meat. In order to test that “hypothesis,” Francesco Redi (in 1660) devised an experiment, consisting of two jars that both contained meat. One jar was open, the other jar had a piece of cheesecloth stretched across the top. While maggots only appeared in the open jar, flies were actually observed laying maggots on the cheesecloth, thus proving that the maggots were not generated spontaneously.
However, instead of completely rejecting the idea of spontaneous generation, a number of “scientists” continued to believe that bacteria would spontaneously generate in broth. In order to test that hypothesis, Louis Pasteur (in 1859) devised an experiment utilizing several long-necked flasks that contained beef broth. After the broth was boiled, the necks on some of the flasks were heated and bent in an s-curve. As predicted, bacteria only infested the broth that was in straight-necked flasks. When it entered the flasks with curved necks, it wound up sticking to the side of the neck, and never reached the broth.
Although such experiments, coupled with the invention of a dust-free box at the end of the nineteenth-century, convinced the scientific community that life does not come from non-life; atheists continue to claim that life originally came from non-life because it is their religion, not science.

In trying to find arguments that they can use to support their religious beliefs, atheists often claim that extinct animals, such as trilobites and dinosaurs, are no longer with us because they have evolved into something else. However, they believe that because that is what their religion teaches, not because it is scientific! On the contrary, over forty percent of the fossilized life forms that we find in the rocks are not extinct. And, none of the fossilized life forms that are not extinct are significantly different from their descendants which we find living in the world today. What is that, other than scientific, observable evidence that things are not evolving? Therefore, the very fact that atheists refuse to admit that there is absolutely no evidence that extinct life forms have evolved into something else, and stubbornly cling to the claim that they did evolve, proves that their beliefs are a religion, not science.

At the time of Charles Darwin it was easy for atheists to claim that men could evolve from lower life forms because no one knew anything about DNA. And, for years evolutionists ignored the findings of Gregor Mendel, because they did not fit the evolutionary model. Furthermore, when the scientific evidence that change is limited by the genetic code could no longer be ignored, instead of admitting that they were wrong the atheists tried to find some way around the evidence. In the end, they wound up claiming that evolution is the result of favorable mutations. However, that claim is totally unscientific, because mutations are the result of damage to the genetic code, and damage never improves anything. There is absolutely no scientific evidence that mutation has, or even could, lead to the improvement of any living system, much less the development of new species. The fact that atheists stubbornly refuse to admit that, proves that their beliefs are religion, not science.

Darwin had no concept of recessive genes. He assumed that natural selection would eliminate any defects [caused by a mutation], and that if an animal or person did not have a defect, it would not pass on a defect to future generations. However, we now know that he was totally wrong! In fact, Dr. John Stanford of Cornell University has demonstrated that this central axiom of Darwinian evolution cannot be true. What he has demonstrated is that only one mutation in a million can be said to be beneficial (if that). And, the bad mutations build up in the genetic code, even though they are recessive. As a result, our genetic information is constantly deteriorating. Now I ask you, since science is supposed to be the pursuit of truth, why do so many scientists continue to believe in evolution, in spite of the genetic evidence? The answer should be obvious, evolution is their religion, not science.

    CONCLUSION

People need to be taught how to tell the difference between atheistic religion and science. The distinction is not difficult. Atheism makes claims that have no real basis in science, or are even contrary to science, and then tries to interpret the facts to fit those claims. For example, consider the fossil known as Lucy. Lucy is clearly an ape, albeit an extinct species of ape. However, even though the fossils provide us with scientific evidence that life forms are not evolving, atheists claim that she is an ancestor of the human race. The point I am making, is that there is not one scrap of scientific evidence to support that claim. Evolutionists make it because that is what their religion teaches, not because there is any scientific support for it.
At present, atheists like to claim that dinosaurs evolved into birds. However, here again, there is not one scrap of real science to support their claim. On the contrary, real science exposes that claim as ridiculous. Reptiles and birds have entirely different digestive systems, respiratory systems, circulatory systems, and reproductive systems. [What I have just said is explained more fully by anatomist Dr. David Menton in two lectures available on DVD. “Lucy, She’s No Lady”, and “Formed To Fly”.]
Let me close by urging every Bible-Believing Christian who reads this, to sit down with his or her congressman, and explain why evolution is not science, and why atheistic religion should not be taught in our schools.

“To compel a man to furnish contributions of money for the propagation of opinions which he disbelieves, is sinful and tyrannical” (The Virginia Statue for Religious Freedom, signed into law by Patrick Henry, in 1786).

I wholeheartedly agree with the comments about John 3:12 and Genesis 1-11. If a person REFUSES to believe what God has said and what can be so clearly seen about CREATION, how can they believe eternal things which they cannot see.

I have been doing a survey among university students. Over 90% do not believe that God created the world as described in Genesis 1-11. Most of those said that they had never heard any alternative to evolution. Many of these were interested in listening to facts that confirmed the Genesis account of creation.

  278. October 23, 2010 6:39 pm

“If one cannot accept the accuracy of a literal understanding of Genesis 1-11, then how can one accept the accuracy of a literal understanding of the resurrection of Jesus Christ? How is it any more difficult to believe that God created everything in 6 literal days (constituted of 6 evenings and mornings), than it is to believe that Jesus Christ rose from the dead after 3 days?

Paul clearly tells us that if Jesus Christ is not risen from the dead we are still in our sins–we are lost! Clearly, if one rejects the resurrection, that person cannot be a Christian in any biblical sense. I would also propose that rejecting the 6 literal day creation, Noah’s flood, and the Tower of Babel accounts opens one to all kinds of heresies and false teachings that certainly have the liklihood of leading one away from Christ and into fables and everlasting destruction.

To be sure, one may believe false doctrines, even if they accept the accuracy of Genesis 1-11. However, if one rejects the literal understanding of Genesis 1-11, then the very foundation of that person’s faith is corrupt, which in turn will affect every other doctrinal understanding.”

I am going to school to become a teacher because I believe that the religion of Evolution has stained our culture that it is nearly impossible to make scientific progress in many fields of research, especially Biology, and it has bombarded young people to the extent that they can barely find God outside of a small, conservative church anymore. The theory of Evolution has become such a problem to both science and peoples relationships with God that if something isn’t done by many highly good hearted people be they pastors, teachers, parents, grandparents, researchers, scout leaders, etc., that we will be living in a world where it is illegal to even mention something Christian while standing in your own yard.
I have even dedicated a website of my very own to the topic of Dinosaurs, Creation and Evolution because Dinosaurs are one of the most often used tools to bring people away from the very God that created these magnificent animals. i hope that anyone interested will check it out to see the How these creatures are evidence of Creation and not Evolution.,

The evolutionary doctrine is the most ridiculous and illogical sacred cow of science. I am so thankful that the Lord Jesus Christ rescued me from my reckless path to destruction. I love Him and do my best to show His love everywhere. It’s not always easy to love the unlovely but introducing God as Creator and Saviour instills a sense of purpose and self esteem into the hearts of the marginalised in the “highways and byways” of life. Creation is our foundation, the Cross is our heritage, the Resurrection is our destiny!

Belief in evolution requires a lot more faith than believing the Bible. Evolutionists claim that everything came into existence from nothing. These folks who don’t believe in miracles require a miracle to get things started. At least they’re right about one thing. First there was nothing, and then there was something. They just don’t realize that God spoke everything into existence. In six literal days, everything was in place, and God is still holding it all together.

From the introduction of my paper:
The doctrine of creation is wide in scope. It provides the foundations of the entire Bible
by telling us the how’s and why’s concerning the existence of the universe, the earth, plants and
animals and humans. The doctrine is also part of the Law handed down to Moses by God. Also,
it tells us how humans fell into sin and why we need salvation, which in turn presents the reasons
for the Old Testament covenants and the earthly mission of Jesus.
The doctrine also brings in the question of how God created. Did He create as narrated in
Genesis 1 and 2? If not, does that mean that not only is His Word in Genesis reliable, but also
the rest of Scripture? What are the implications if Genesis isn’t stating fact? Does it undermine
our salvation and God’s Word? Does believing in the theories of modern science about our
    origins negate our Christian faith?
Another concept is of God continuing His creative work. Is He still present in creation or
has He departed from it, allowing us and all life to go it alone? Is His hand still directly affecting
    our lives here on earth?

What a privilege to live in a time when we can be counted as those who stood for the Truth of God’s Word, to shun compromise, and to be committed to our calling as Pastors. Titus 1:9 gives us clear instruction for what we are to do: “He must hold firm to the trustworthy word as taught, so that he may be able to give instruction in sound doctrine and also to rebuke those who contradict it. For there are many who are insubordinate, empty talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision party. They must be silenced, since they are upsetting whole families by teaching for shameful gain what they ought not to teach.”

You cannot treat the Bible like it’s a buffet line, picking what you like and leaving the rest. Either it’s all true or none of it is! If you try to leave Genesis 1-11 out of the Bible you will have to remove a whole lot more. As Christians, we must take so seriously the words of 1 Peter 3:15 and 2 Corinthians 10:5 (among a multitude of others) which charge us to become educated on the creation laid before us by an infinitely perfect creator who is outside and eternally beyond the laws that govern it, and defend the logic and the knowledge of God. I find it to be invaluably important, as a Christian, to equip myself with correct knowledge of this awe-inspiring thing I claim to be the creation of the one true God.

I’ve been in conversation with the youth pastor of my home church about being a part of his coming church plant endeavor. I’ll be (or so I plan at present) attending a Dallas, TX conference with he and his wife in March, 2012. Only 20 years old, God has already spoken volumes of truth, wisdom, and grace undeservedly into my life, and where it all seems like so much to me, I continue each day to be made infinitely small in comparison to the boundless wisdom, beauty, and sheer size of this sovereign God, who in the midst of it all has some part, even if infinitely minute, for me in this story of Him.

Rev. Tony B. – my words will fall far short of the appreciation I wish that I could express with a keyboard for what you’ve done in your ministry. We must not allow “theistic evolution” to creep into the church. if one part of the bible is brought into questions, then the whole bible is open to question. I believe in the literal creation account in gensis. Evolution is not science even in the loosest sense yet it is being taught in schools as virtual fact. Our chapels must remain one place where we can be completely free of this lie.

  347. February 12, 2012 2:03 pm

evolutionary theory is spiritual poison. it’s absurd to think that Bible-believing Christians would entertain the idea of evolution when evolutionary theory is based upon the presupposition of the non-existence of the supernatural. yeah, that means, according to evolutionary theory, we have no souls to save. big problem. anyone who has ever talked to an ardent evolutionist knows this. a good question to ask theistic evolutionists is, when did the soul evolve and for that matter why?

evolutionary theory seeks to destroy the Gospel of Christ. death is the penalty of Adam’s sin against God [Genesis 3:19]. to say that death existed before Adam is to say that death is not the consequence of Adam’s sin as the Bible says. believing in death before Adam removes our responsibility for our sin, renders God useless and Christ’s sacrifice becomes vain. again, big problem.

“All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one flesh of men, and another flesh of beasts, and another flesh of birds, and another of fish.”
    1 Corinthians 15:39 NASB

animals and humans have different flesh. one kind of flesh does not produce or transform into another kind of flesh. all life reproduces after its own kind [Gen 1:11-12, 21-22, 24-25; 4:1]. and this is just one of many passages in Scripture that addresses the issue.

furthermore, science will never solve the origins debate. why? consider that we all have the same body of evidence but interpret it differently to come to two different conclusions. how could that be? does the evidence change? no. it’s our presupposed worldviews that affect our interpretation of the evidence. this is why origins science is not objective. confronting people with this fact removes science from the debate and forces them to get at the real issue: a person’s worldview and the philosophy behind it which ultimately uncovers the unwillingness to be morally accountable to God. it’s a moral issue. it always is. people don’t want to be accountable to anyone let alone God.

there are so many problems with meshing evolutionary theory and Scripture that one could right a very large book. hmmm… actually, One already has.

thank you for what you are doing. it is much needed.

As a nominal Christian in my youth, I always wondered how Genesis could be true if Evolution was a fact. It was very troubling to me then and must be to most people today. So we are seeing our youth depart from the Faith and living desperate lives of futility. I can’t even begin to count how many suicides I hear about from people who see no porpuse in life if they come from pond scum. They quickly understand that if Genesis is only myth, when did God start telling the truth?

Now that I am a born-again Christian ( I belong to a BIble-believing Church with a Creationist Pastor) and have been exposed to Creationism, I can easily see how there is no conflict between the Holy Bible and Science. In fact, if we take the Bible as fact (and I do), then we will arrive at a much better understanding of what happened at the beginning. Only God was there to see it, so all these humanistic theories, which change regularly, are simply an attempt to remove God from our lives. Evolution is a religion, just like any other. It takes more faith to believe in this nonsense (first there was nothing, then it exploded!) than I could ever have.

Genesis, as well as all the other 65 books of the Bible, is the inspired Word of God. The truth of creation is just as God has told us.

I know that God created the world on and in which we live in six literal days, number one because HE said so and number two because The Bible says so. The devil, ole slufoot himself has been attacking the Word of God since the Garden of Eden. God needs and desires for more of His Children to stand up and have our voices heard. My pastor used to say this statement and I couldn’t agree more, “People are entitled to their opinions and they are entitled to be WRONG!” I love God, the LORD Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit because of their love for me and their creation.

I believe in the inerrancy of God’s Word and the literal six days of Creation. Let the evolutionists take a day of rest and, with the help of the Holy Spirit, reconsider their folly.

Just saw Ben Stein’s movie “Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed”. Highly recommend it for believers, but more so for non-believers and atheists. If I were an evolutionist, I would be embarrassed by the responses of the world’s leading evolutionists when cornered with such diabolically contrived questions as “how did life begin?” Their replies were so pathetic I could not believe they actually refer to themselves as scientists. One replied, “crystals formed on the backs of crystals.” Yeah, right. He became quite indignant when Ben tried to gain further insight to this incredibly brilliant theory. Of course, he would have become physically violent I’m sure had Ben followed up with another dastardly question such as, “uh,…where did the crystals come from?” Then Richard Dawkins, author of the book, “The God Delusion”, on the spot and feeling the heat to offer some type of theory admits he “doesn’t know”, then goes on to state his theory that “space aliens” seeded the earth”. I kid you not. Mind you, these are not laypersons holding to evolutionary theory, but world-reknowned “experts” in their field. The legs of the evolutionist world would be undone if people who subscribe to this baloney were to be TRULY open-minded and objective. But then of course, the intolerant and bigoted evolutionary scientists who ostracize creationists would lose their funding and status, which would be too much for their delicate egos to handle.

The Lord confirmed Biblical Creation in my thought when some years ago He showed me a polystrate fossilised tree – not only incompatible with evolution but also impossible to explain by evolution. The literal historico-grammatical truth of the whole Word from Genesis 1:1 was therefore simply confirmed and made me unafraid to be hungry to delve into as much spiritual truth as the Lord could bless me with!

I’m a high school biology teacher and anyone who tries to tell you there isn’t a war on our kids is either lying or ignorant. Creation is no side issue. Genesis is either 100% accurate or 100% story. So either God lovingly created each of us or we’re just some random chance set of mutations with no purpose or destiny. If we tell our kids the latter, should we be surprised when they’re depressed, suicidal and murderous?

I am a Christian who believes in a biblical worldview, as opposed to an atheist worldview.
God created everything just as Genesis says He did. Man cannot create anything without using a basis that God already made. The bible is a literal book that has God’s undying love written on every page; and He died for our salvation from sin. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS EVOLUTION, ITS A LIE STRAIGHT FROM HELL.

It is time for Christians to take a stand for the inerrant, infallible Word of God. We must take the Bible literally unless the context indicates it is figurative language. God created in 6 24 hour periods. That is not difficult for the omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient One. I highly recommend http://www.answersingenesis.org for those who wish to learn to intelligiently state the case for Biblical Creationism.

It is imperative that spiritual leaders educate themselves about this essential topic. If we allow men and women with nice, white lab coats and clip boards to convince us as Christians that God’s Word is mere fable, then what will be the next “scientifically unverifiable” miracle to fall to naturalist rationalism? The Virgin Birth? The Resurrection? Anyone who comes to this issue with a genuine desire to discover Truth will easily see that Special Creation is clearly the best narrative to explain the observable physical evidence.

The special creation of God is a belief system, so is the naturalistic origin of all things. Science cannot prove things in the past, but certainly supports creation.
